"Sisu" is the Finnish word for bravery in the face of adversity and Vuorelan Veikot and the Koovee Rollers showed the roller hockey world the meaning of the word at the MLRH World Championships in Mannheim Germany.

In a "win or go home" semi-final
elimination game, the Koovee Rollers
knocked off the three time MLRH
Champion Breakaway Bullies in
sudden death overtime to advance to
the final. Earlier, Veikot hung on
to preserve their semi-final win in
a  5-4 thriller over the Orebro
Eagles (Sweden) to gain their spot
in the finals.The Championship
series which was to go three games,
ended up being everything a "pro"
final should be.

The Veikot who dropped game one 6 - 3 to Koovee would then rally to come back to win game two 5 - 2 and the championship 6 - 3.

Lasse Lappalanien was the difference in game three, gaining the World Championship MVP award as he scored a natural hat trick in the decisive game.
